Scouts & Guides

The Bharat Scouts & Guides us a Voluntary, Non-political, educational movement for young people.

It is open to all without distinction of origin, race or creed, in accordance with the purpose, principles and method conceived by the founder Lord Baden Powell in 1907

Don Bosco School, Nashik has introduced Scout and guide in its curriculum for the overall development of the students

Camps are arranged on the school ground.

During camps students are taught the basics of tent – pitching, knots, making posters on a socially relevant theme and even cooking.

The camp culminates with the fun filled camp-fire.

Scouts and gudies from Don Bosco School,Nashik had proved their excellence in Boscoree Camp held at Don Bosco University, Assam, where Don Bosco Scouts and Guides all over India had participated.

The 14th Edition of the National Boscoree was held at Don Bosco University, Assam, from 29 December 2022 to 3 January 2023. 4 troops from the Salesian Province of Bombay participated in this event. The theme for the event was ‘Save our Planet Home’.

The Objectives of Scouts and Guides are as follows:

To promote character building of young one.

To develop habits of observation, discipline and self reliance.

To offer services useful to the community.

To promote physical, mental,social and spritual dvelopment.

To develop skills needed for social service.

To inculate and promote reverence for God/Dharam and self.

To develop awarness of the importance of self – defence,enviornment and natural resources.
